KPMG Mozambique

KPMG Auditores e Consultores, SA is the oldest audit and advisory firm operating in Mozambique, with a profound knowledge of the local economy. KPMG in Mozambique was established in June 1990, due to an agreement between the Mozambican Government and KPMG International, thus forming KPMG Peat Marwick Auditores e Consultores, SARL, making it a registered member of KPMG International.

In June 1996, KPMG International signed an International investment agreement with the Republic of Angola and established KPMG Auditores e Consultores, SARL, in Angola, making it a registered member of KPMG International.

KPMG merged with KPMG Angola in 1999 transforming it into the third largest firm in KPMG Africa and the largest in Lusophone Africa, with 7 partners and over 200 professionals of which most are national and residents in Maputo and Luanda.

KPMG Angola & Mozambique then merged subsequently with KPMG South Africa and other KPMG firms in Africa to form KPMG Africa. KPMG has operated in South Africa since 1895.

The organic growth and strategic mergers helped KPMG grow, transforming it into one of the largest audit and accounting firms in the Africa region.
